๐ The Ladder of Ascent
Seven rungs separate the Initiate from the Hierophant. Points accumulate. Titles transmute.
๐ How Points Accrue
Three sources contribute to your ascent:
- Defeated creatures โ see the Bestiary. Most weekly work hits a named, pre-priced creature.
- Hidden Sigils โ see Minor Mysteries. Bonus rewards bestowed for discipline beyond the pattern.
- Wild encounters โ work outside the Bestiary, judged in the moment by the master who assigns them.
When your point total crosses a threshold, you transmute. The new title is bestowed by your master in the review of the Pull Request that triggered the crossing โ you do not claim it yourself.
๐ The Seven Levels

| II | Acolyte of the Calx | 75 |
| III | Apprentice of the Crucible | 200 |
| IV | Journeyman of the Athanor | 400 |
| V | Adept of the Aludel | 650 |

Levels IV, V, and VI carry sealed gifts โ see ยงV on the Codex.
๐ Notes for the Apprentice
- Levels are status, not gates. All knowledge in the Forbidden Library is open at every level. The Forbidden Classes are the only thing actually sealed by progression.
- A slow week still earns. A fast week can leap past a milestone.
- Your title is bestowed, not claimed. Update only
